Disc golf is a sport played with discs (frisbees) using rules similar to golf. The goal is to get the disc from a given start to a target (hole) with as few throws as possible. The disc replaces the club and ball, while the basket replaces the hole.
Disc golf is an outdoor sport played in the heart of nature. A disc golf course can be 6, 9, 12 or 18 holes. Hole sizes vary from 50 meters to over 200 meters for PDGA competitions.
Depending on the distance and trajectory to be covered, the disc golfer uses different types of discs, just as the golfer chooses the most appropriate club: Driver, Fairway Driver, Mid-Range, Putter.
The target to send the disk to is a basket equipped with a chain, as shown in the picture.
At the start of the round, the player with the highest score throws first from the tee. During the round, after the first throws, the player furthest from the basket plays, and the group moves together toward the basket.
The player makes the following throws by positioning himself behind his disc in relation to the basket. The point of play can be marked with a mini-disc.
At the start of the next hole, the player with the best score on the previous hole, throws first.
